The Women’s Ashes is still alive, despite a record breaking performance from Lady Crim superstar Ellyse Perry, thanks to a defiant performance from England in the Second Innings. At 89/2 (or 2/89 if you’re from the C.C.), the Aussies looked well placed to claim the four points from the match that would have given them an unassailable 8-2 lead with just the three T20s to go. However, skipper Knight and Elwiss held out for 68 overs, producing 117 runs along the way to claim a share of the spoils.
The draw meant that Supergirl Perry’s only reward for her double-century was the Player of the Match award.
